deep listenings (italy/italian)
RJRPRES: italian magazine covering mostly new age, various forms of avant-garde and other related musics. interesting record reviews and the variety of music covered, makes this well worth seeking out.

deichmanbladet (norway/norwegian)
RJRPRES: short-lived culture magazine published by the public library in oslo. general high quality covering mostly literature with some cinema & music related articles.

delirium (usa/english)
RJRPRES: new gothic/dark rock etc fanzine covering music and more. not bad.

detroit blues (usa/english)
RJRPRES: blues quarterly covering the local blues scene old & new + more general blues coverage. well worth your attention. continued as big city blues.

detroit jazz (usa/english)
RJRPRES: bi-monthly covering mostly the local jazz scene in and around detroit. articles & some long record reviews make this worth your attention.

RJRPRES: another excellent japanese rock monthly. long articles and lots of record reviews. issues a special disc guide series too. written completely in japanese.

RJRPRES: french zine covering garage rock & punk. takes up the heritage from nineteen. recommended.

dirty linen (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american bimonthly covering folk & roots music. one of the best internationally in this field with excellent articles/interviews and lots of record reviews. highly recommended. last issue only available digitally.

disco dance (netherlands/dutch)
RJRPRES: dutch black music monthly with lots of record reviews & columns.

RJRPRES: new british biannual bookzine from the people behind the discontinue monthly Jockey Slut covering all shades of dance related music like techno, house, disco, jungle, rap, electronica, raves etc etc. off to a very promising start.

discorder (canada/english)
RJRPRES: excellent monthly newspaper from canada-s citr radio station. important coverage of new indie rock acts along with columns on the vancouver scene, rap, industrial etc (+ literature, food...). recommended.

discoveries (usa/english)
RJRPRES: this american monthly record collectors mag keeps getting better with interesting features about more or less obscure artists plus discographies and reviews. lots of record auction/set sale lists.

diw (devil in the woods) (usa/english)
RJRPRES: zine covering mostly indie rock. first few copies of each issue previously came with an exclusive 7". check it out. about to turn bi-monthly.

dj mag (netherlands) (netherlands/dutch)
RJRPRES: dutch magazine covering contemporary dance music and culture (+ some equipment reviews etc). current status unknown.

dj magazine (uk/english)
RJRPRES: british dance music fortnightly covering techno, house, rap, jungle etc. recommended.

dj magazine (italy) (italy/italian)
RJRPRES: italian bimonthly edition of the british magazine of the same name with both translated and locally produced contents. focuses on the international dance music & dj scene.

dj times (usa/english)
RJRPRES: large format glossy u.s. monthly covering most aspects of dance music, techno, house etc. artist features, record reviews & technical articles. some extensive interviews make this worth your time.

dna (australia/english)
RJRPRES: small xeroxed magazine with valuable info on australian indie bands, often incl.family trees,members,discographies etc. back after a 3-year hiatus, but probably discontinued again.

doobop (usa/english)
RJRPRES: shortlived jazz zine distributed free on the internet as a pdf-file. some interesting articles & extensive reviews.

doom metal front (germany/german)
RJRPRES: excellent german bi-annual magazine subtitled: doom, sludge, drone, stoner & psychedelic rock. some articles/interviews in english or bilingual. printed edition discontinued after issue 12. well worth your attention.

double down (usa/english)
RJRPRES: irregular zine covering various shades of indie & garage rock (plus poster art, films etc). after a steady growth from issue to issue, it now includes some extensive & interesting interviews & articles. well worth checking out.

dovp magazine (spain/spanish)
RJRPRES: spanish zine covering contemporary dance music & electronica. valuable source of information on the national spanish scene. check it out. probably discontinued.

*down beat (usa/english)
RJRPRES: america-s most well-known jazz monthly. quite commercial, but still very valuable for jazz information through articles, interviews, reviews and the occasional solo transcription. recommended.

*down for life (uk/english)
RJRPRES: new quarterly (?) magazine taking over from big cheese. covers all things punk & hardcore (+ some metal & rock), both new and old, off to a promising start, so check it out.

downlow (the) (uk/english)
RJRPRES: one of the most interesting new magazines covering rap music. informative articles, interviews & reviews. strongly recommended.

dream magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: new american zine with excellent coverage of the more experimental/alternative varieties of rock & other popular musics (+ fiction/art/etc). irregular. includes cds with exclusive material. highly recommended.

dream west (france/french)
RJRPRES: french country music magazine including some related articles on history etc. worth checking out.

drone technozine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: small american techno-zine. some interviews, but mostly record reviews. looks promising.

drop dead magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: interesting short-lived u.s.zine covering old & new deathrock, goth, punk, psychobilly, wave, post-punk etc artists/groups both well known & fairly unknown.

dropout (ireland/english)
RJRPRES: irish alternative rock paper. free locally. current status unknown.

RJRPRES: italian drum magazine with articles on artist, equipment plus numerous workshops. if your a drummer, check it out.

RJRPRES: another u.s.magazine for both drummers & general music fans. lots of interesting interviews, reviews & workshops covering mostly rock, but also jazz, world music etc. publishes special editions on specific topics. recommended.

RJRPRES: german bimonthly drum magazine. some feature articles + reviews & workshops (along with a lot of info on equipment). always something of interest also to the general reader.

RJRPRES: new quality zine from the man behind superdope. covers mostly rock, punk & garage with a little reggae & dub thrown in (+ book reviews, both fiction & non-fiction). highly recommended.
