RJRPRES: norwegian quarterly edtition of the free danish music magazine. extensive coverage of the national scene in addition to some international articles/reviews. a valuable source of information. free locally.

*galactic zoo dossier (usa/english)
RJRPRES: this unique handwritten & drawn psychedelic zine, made by plastic crimewave (s.n.krakow), must be seen & read to be fully appreciated. as much a work of art as a zine, it comes with trading cards & audio freebies. Issues 1-4 later compiled. highly recomme

galore (germany/german)
RJRPRES: german music & culture press consisting of extensive & interesting interviews with musicians (along with actors, directors, authors etc). now includes a few book/record reviews. recommended. currently less music content. back in print.

garaz (poland/polish)
RJRPRES: polish magazine covering punk, hardcore, rock, garage etc. focusing on both the national & international scene. well worth your attention.

RJRPRES: free swedish magazine covering dance music, rap, rock and pop. discontinued.

gearhead (usa/english)
RJRPRES: another american mag interested in rock & cars. formerly came with a free 7" of exclusive material. recommended. irregular. back after 4 years with less music content. current status uncertain.

generator (uk/english)
RJRPRES: glossy british monthly covering dance music, techno, house, jungle etc. interesting articles & record reviews. now incorporated in wax.

RJRPRES: slim annual dutch independent magazine covering rap & various facets of hip hop culture through interviews with mostly relatively unknown musicians, writers etc. a valuable addition to the music press, so check it out.

get rhythm (uk/english)
RJRPRES: excellent british monthly subtitled: just music. quality coverage of rock, pop, rootsmusic, folk, country, reggae etc through extensive articles & reviews. a short-lived, but important publication. highly recommended.

gew-gaw (greece/english)
RJRPRES: another interesting greek zine in english covering psyche & garage rock etc. general high quality in both articles & reviews. comes with an excellent cd.track it down while it-s still available. continues as Peace Frog.

ghettoblaster (usa/english)
RJRPRES: interesting u.s. zine covering various shades of the contemporary alternative music scene from indie rock & pop to rap & soul (+ literature, cinema & other culture). issued ca 3 issues/year. easy to recommend.

gilda (sweden/swedish)
RJRPRES: swedish zine covering popular musics, cinema & art. recommended due to interesting articles/essays.

girlyhead (usa/english)
RJRPRES: interesting u.s.zine making issues on special themes such as girls & cars, romance etc. music coverage centers mostly around rock with a garage slant & 60s pop. always something of interest.

gitarist (netherlands/dutch)
RJRPRES: long-running dutch monthly guitar magazine with the usual mix of articles/interviews, workshops & reviews. not bad at all.

global rhythm/ rhythm music (usa/english)
RJRPRES: glossy american monthly covering world music, afro, latin, plus some jazz, reggae, folk etc. both article & live-/record-reviews make worthwhile. several name changes started out as rhythm music magazine.

glut (usa/english)
RJRPRES: new zine from the same people as jersey beat. this one covers only singles, and is a valuable new source of info within this field.

goar (germany/german)
RJRPRES: german underground rock fanzine with lots of interviews & record reviews. comes with hard-vinyl eps of new material. worth checking out.

goldmine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: leading american record collectors mag covering all kinds of artists/groups through long knowledgable articles, interviews, discographies, informative record reviews (+ set-sale/auction lists).

gonzo circus (belgium/dutch)
RJRPRES: excellent belgian alternative rock & experiemental music bimonthly (formerly quarterly) along with other cultural contents. worth investigating. highly recommended.

good times (germany/german)
RJRPRES: german bimonthly covering music from the 60s & 70s and related rock & pop + some country, soul, blues etc. both articles & record reviews are worth your time.

gospel today (usa/english)
RJRPRES: american glossy gospel magazine covering both music & religious matters.

gothic (german/german)
RJRPRES: german quarterly subtitled: magazine for underground culture. covers mostly rock & punk (+ fashion, photography, lifestyle, cinema etc). quite interesting.

grand royal magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: cool new zine from the people in beastie boys covering rap, funk etc and letting george clinton show his artwork. what more can you ask for.

RJRPRES: american counter-cultural quarterly with music coverage of live tapes, bootlegs, private videos etc. + excellent interviews, very valuable annotated tapeographies etc. non-music content of variable value.

great god pan (usa/english)
RJRPRES: californian zine covering alternative & experimental rock & punk + non-music topics. irregular.

great white noise (canada/english)
RJRPRES: canadian double fanzine (incl.absolutely indie) featuring rock & canadian artists.

green mountain jazz messenger (usa/english)
RJRPRES: tabloidsize newspaper covering the jazz activity in the northeast of the usa. quality interviews and record/live reviews make this of interest to the jazz public everywhere. fused with jazz improv.

grim humour (uk/english)
RJRPRES: british fanzine covering industrial (& other) rock, plus movies, literature etc. lots of record reviews. first 750 copies comes with a free 7" of exclusive material. well worth seeking out.

grindstone magazine (usa/english)
RJRPRES: long-running zine covering roots music, rockabilly, country etc. important for coverage of fairly unknown musicians/groups. irregular, about one issue per year. worth tracking down.

groove (france/french)
RJRPRES: excellent french monthly covering rap & other black musics like r&b and reggae with a healthy dose of artists/groups from the national scene. interesting articles & well informed reviews.

groove (germany) (germany/german)
RJRPRES: long-running german dance music magazine also covering electronica and club culture from both the local german & the international scene. lots of interesting articles & record reviews. recommended. print edition discontinued.

grÀnslöst (sweden/swedish)
RJRPRES: very interesting new swedish magazine covering a wide variety of musics from experimental jazz to world music, contemporary etc. some long interviews & record reviews combined with the breadth of scope make this very interesting.

RJRPRES: british guitar monthly covering mainly british & u.s.rock guitarists + some blues. the general high quality of the articles, instructional material & record reviews make this worth your attention. new name: Guitar & Bass. (dec.11)

RJRPRES: glossy bimonthly mag covering acoustic guitar playing in rock music (mostly), country etc. detailed transcriptions with tabs/lyrics etc. articles of interest to non-players too. current status unknown.

RJRPRES: french bimonthly for acoustic guitar players and others interested. covers a lot of musical ground from blues, folk & world music to rock & jazz through articles, interviews, workshops & reviews. recommended.
